Aged in French oak barrels, "The Blackbird" Merlot is named for the beautiful red-winged blackbirds that frequent our vineyards and property throughout the year and it is also a translation - the word Merlot means - "little blackbird" in English. Subtle flavors of black cherry and raisin open on the palate, with lingering aromatics of new leather and baking spices with a soft finish.
